I am presently a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice with Killian and Associates, Springfield, Illinois. I had been the Therapeutic Coordinator for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Springfield for 23.5 years. I had also been the Therapeutic Coordinator for Catholic Social Services of the Diocese of Peoria for 6 years. I am a clinical fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) as well as an Approved Supervisor. I am a past President of the Illinois Association for Marriage and Family Therapists- 2015-2016. I also serve on the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as a member on the licensed marriage and family therapy. I serve as a Seminar Director for Life Innovations and am trained in the interpretation of the Prepare-Enrich to pre- marital and marital couples. I am trained as a Certified Gottman Marital Therapist (www.Gottman.com) as well as a vel One trainer for The Gottman Institute, and I am certified as a workshop leader to deliver the Art and cience of Love workshop created by Drs. John and Julie Gottman. I have served as Visiting Clinical Instructor at UIS (University of Illinois- Springfield) in the Department of Human Development and Counseling and presently serve as adjunct professor.
In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist in Illinois, Graham Thompson has presented at National and State conferences as well as international audiences in the Netherlands on the topics of Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Theraplay, a Chicago-based therapy for parents and their children.
